A taste of May certainly makes me feel better as well! Love the blossoms!
my favorites are the prickly cactus that is a 'bee wallow' and the prickly nettle at the end. so beautiful, seems the ones that can hurt us are the prettiest.
The firewheel is a great flower what a pity I don't have seeds so I can plant at my place
Gorgeous flowers Tex. So different from those Down Under.I need some help. I see you have a meme Rubbish Tuesday. Can you tell me how I get to join this one. I get told to contact the owner, but I'm not sure how.Liz

I have a similar cactus, but it makes giant white flowers, instead of small yellow ones.
It's freezing cold here, so this sure has brightened my day!
Oh! I do love those close-up shot. I really needed those splash of colors. The storm is over and the wind is now blowing but seeing some flowers makes me feel like the warmer season is not all that far away. Hugs,JB

What pretty flower shots.
Gorgeous colours! I never knew the term brown eyed susans before last summer.
Surprised about some of the flowers - had never seen. Horse Nettles, didn't know.
The bright colors of your flowers is a welcome change from the white of our most recent snow fall. Five inches yesterday and overnight. Now its raining on the snow making for interesting driving! :-)
Wow, your indian paintbrush look totally different. Beautiful.
thank you for that. it's been gray and dreary and wet here too. yes, roses. they are beautiful.
OH Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!
What a great idea for a mid-winter morning.
Flowers in spring and summer and joy for the eyes. :)
I thought 'what's going on there?' then read "May". I need to read first, then enjoy the pictures afterwards. I like those Firewheels.
Thank you! Your flowers are a welcome sight on this bitterly cold winter day! :)Lindy
A nice change and maybe with the drizzle we'll have pretty wild flowers before we know it.
I like the firewheels!
Me, too...while we have bright sunshine today, we still don't have such pretty colors as you did in May
Thanks. I can use an infusion of spring this week. I hear the high here on Wed.-Thurs might be about 9 above. The high! Sheesh!
Beautiful, colorful spring captures and I could use a little sun and bright colors, too!! Typical northwest winter - GRAY!
What a profusion of beautiful colors. The gallardia are my favorites in this post. Hope you're having a great day. Greetings Jo
It's nice to be reminded of the colors of spring and summer in wildflowers! Their raw beauty is a true treasure.
It's very cold here so it is nice to see the colour, Tex!
I thank you from the bottom of my heart! It's so blasted cold here right now, I may rethink enjoying this winter if it doesn't warm up quickly!
pretty blooms. i love them all ... so happy and cheerful. i love winter - but i miss flowers and their happy faces. ( :
I'm freezing! This is a good reminder that it might not last forever, if I can just hold out that long.
Good morning, TJ! Fire wheels are SO pretty! You could put them in fat books and dry them.
Wilde bloemen ,ze zijn zo mooi.
Such beautiful flowers! I love that blooming cactus!
May flowers in January, perfect for cold drizzle days. Love those pink and yellow bright blooms. Jean.
Thanks for adding color to grim days of winter.
I do feel better as it reminds me of what is to come!
I feel better now too. My world turned white yesterday. It's sunny and bright and very cold. And flowers are the perfect way to warm the soul. Thanks for that.
Send me some of those flowers please Theresa. I'd feel better then too.
I loved the flower, except that last one. I fight with those a lot.Is that a Floribunda Rose? It also looks like Grandma's rose that she called twin sisters.
I try to grow so many of those lovely wild flowers in my flowerbeds. They are just beautiful.
Thanks for brightening my day! They are all so lovely, and it is so nice to see a bit of bright color. Have a great week!
Thanks!! These bright blooms were just what the doctor ordered for this cold day.
Lovely blossoms, especially the yellow ones.
Winter colors. Fine!!!.. :-)))
LOVE those fire wheels and those Indian Blankets just gorgeous.Beautiful flower shots and that cactus flower is just way too pretty. =0)
Very nice!! Like you , I could use a little color and springtime thoughts to ponder. We've got snow on the ground and high temperatures the next couple of days that won't even make it out of the single digits! Brrrrr...
I feel better, too!
Thanks for the wonderful colors, just what I needed on a grey Oregon day.
I really like the colors in the firewheels!
So beautiful!I've been collecting pictures of flowers from the Northeast (D.C., Va.) for a few weeks. The poor things seem to think our mild start to winter means spring. Sad to say...NO! (Not to mention, BRRRRRR! It got seriously cold today.)~
I will take them even if they are from last May They bring a joy that we all need, at least here in the east coast. Thanks !
I feel better also!! it's cold and gray here today, snow (fingers crossed) tomorrow....so the wildflowers are a much enjoyed change of scenery for me today!!tomorrow, will be glorious!!!!
Wow, this is wonderful. The splendor of the eye, in the winter time.
I feel better too! Thanks.
Flowers always make me feel better...especially when it s so flipping cold and windy today!!!!...:)JP
I can hardly wait...winter colors are the bleakest colors lacking warmth in the worst of ways!Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com/?s=The+Adventures+of+Fuzzy+and+Boomer&submit=Search http://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com

A lovely series of flowers - and the ones along the driveway must be especially nice.
A nice reminder of summer. I love the fields of flowers.
I love the Firewheels. I think that could be my favorite flower but I've never seen one here in Tennessee.
Those are all beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen firewheels - very cool flowers!
T, thanks, I needed that! I really like the cactus flowers! It's really dire around here right now. A constant heavy drizzle and clouds/fogs right to the ground. Grey, dark and dull! Bah, Think in need to go into hibernation!
Rainy days and Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (you get the drift) always get me down!
Oh my gosh, I was literally JUST pulling up photos taken last Spring and Summer to use for a post about adding some color during these cold and gray days. Your flowers are beautiful!
Just looking at these beautiful blooms was like a balm for my mind - absolutely lovely.
Beautiful....just what I needed!
That was a wonderful idea!!!
Ah, a treat for my eyes! It is good to see some color. Thank you!

Lovely blossoms all. The firewheels so perfect!
Wonderful touch of color to brighten up the winter!
Shivering with cold in the unusually frigid winter, your post is an escape to the dream of May. TV news reported that a storm brought rare snow to Southern California and the Southwest, but Texas doesn’t seem to be affected by snow storm but rain. Wish you a healthy and happy 2015 ahead.Yoko
Simply lovely captures! adorable colors :)
Things are looking bloomin fine in Texas.
loved seeing your flower photos!incredibly beautiful!big hugs~
Very pretty flowers to brighten up a snowy day where I live.
Such lovely flowers!! make me miss summer... but just a little, at first we must get a real snowy winter! :))
A January bloom is a marvelous thing! My husband got stuck by a prickly pear this past week - rolling under a fence while pheasant hunting SW North Dakota of all places! :)
Those are some pretty wild flowers!!
Thank you for the May Flower Cheer! YAY!
Sorry to be so far behind! Colour infusion is good at any time of year. Especially love those Firewheels!
