Oh, I love that last photo!! =) blessings ~ tanna
number 4 looks like he is talking in a pay phone booth and the wings of the cardinal are gorgeous.
Your shots always have so much clarity. Loved the last one - almost like something from a cartoon. Perhaps you could add some (in)appropriate speech bubbles. Or maybe a KERCHUNK! for falling off the perch?
That 3rd photo is especially cool. Nice pics Tex.
They look beautiful at the feeders !Have a nice Sunday :)
Whoa! Great capture!
Lovely bright and sunny captures of the Goldfinch. I love all your well stocked feeders.
The third picture is totally awesome.A very good Sunday.Best regards, Irma

Poor goldfinch was at peace until Mr Cardinal came along... Great series.. Happy Sunday!
Wonderful photos, pretty bird !!
That's some departure! Feet UP!
Beautiful action shot, TWG.~
Our finches seemed to have moved on. There's not as many around and those that are (purple finches) are more interested in the sunflower seeds.
Awwww, can't wait to see the Finches back here. Love the pictures, Francine.
I miss my goldfinches will have to wait till Spring. They are loving your place I see. Have a nice Sunday.

Okay, now I am just plain jealous! (No takers at my feeders, yet)
Such cute little guys!! He really did "take off" when the cardinal showed up, didn't he!!! That last shot is SO fun!!!
cardinals are the only birds the little warblers will give way to at the tea cup feeder.
I like to look at the birds, which have nothing to eat and they are definitely happy. Regards.
Real beauties, the finches and the cardinal!
Wow... You really nailed it in that last shot. Wings and feet!!!
The last shot is lovely to look at.
Gorgeous little American Goldfinch.
Turned around for you to see well;)
So cute! That's a fast take off.
awesome flapping wings!!
You always have such lovely visitors at your place. Thank you for sharing as you do. :)
Those feathered friends know where to get a good meal. ;)
I love the last action shot, Tex!
Awesome!!!I had a thistle feeder for a couple of years...all it did was get moldy. No takers.Lucky you. Thanks for sharing the link today at I'd Rather B Birdin'
I would be more than willing to see the other birds leave,if only a Cardinal would show up.
I like goldfinches. Red is the one I see in our part of the world.
Red ones, if I'm not mistaken are called bullfinch. I like them a lot.
The in flight shots are fantastic!
This is a great idea! My brother has always wanted to attract birds in our yard. :)
Very nice ! Love the space invader :-)
goldfinches are always a welcome guest :)
Love it!xo Catherine
Finch surly had a good kick off when red showed up.Great photos.
Better a cardinal than a hawk! :-) There's quite a few goldfinches here this winter. Didn't have many last year.
These goldfinches are treated royally with niger seed!
Just minding his own business, and here comes the Big Red Guy! I'd run, too. Great last shot, Tex. :-)
Great shot of that space invader!...:)JP
Maybe 'our' Oregon goldfinches made it to the RunAround! Aren't they the sweetest things.
I love the blur of motion in that last shot...seems like pics of Cardinals are always especially good when you capture them that way.
In those first few thoughts it looks like you caught its attention.
Beautiful little sweeties.Oh wow, my favourite photo is the last - inbound and outgoing. Well done :D)
I wonder if you are the biggest bird seen customer at your feed store. They should give you a discount.
Perfect action shot!
you are being bombarded by cutie-pies! Good for you for putting up the soup kitchen.
Dearest Theresa,And how that tiny Gold finch departs; almost upside down with its feet up!Hugs,Mariette
Don't you just hate it when you're minding your own business, enjoying a meal and someone interrupts you
Love that last pic of the landing.
Such awesome photos. I LOVE the birds caught in action. Hugs~
These are lovely photos. Finches are so pretty, and you've captured them perfectly. Thanks for all the link-up info that you left on my blog.Have a good weekDerek
Thanks for the "fix" of beautiful colorful birds! All of our winter ones are shades of gray.
the last image is wonderful.
That last shot is quite dramatice! Love it!
Magical capture!ALOHA from HonoluluComfortSpiral <3
ahhh, awesome photos...and there's my very favorite bird in the world...red cardinal..:)
I love the way you have captured the cardinal flying in.I still see some finches around here, but they are eating the safflower seeds instead of the thistle seeds. I try to clean the thistle seed feeder periodically, but I should do a better job I figure. How often do y'all clean the thistle seed feeder, Theresa?Peace :)
Those Goldfinches are sure beautiful little birds. Perfect timing on that last picture!
I wonder who chases away the cardinal! ;)
That last shot is something else!!! The little finch looks upside down!
Hi Theresa, I like that bottom one with the birds in flight. A really nice set of pictures. The Goldfinches are rarely spotted in my neighborhood. Have a great coming week!

These photos are really special. Love the in flight action shot.
Very cute finches! Like the action shot at last
They are so cute. Oh my, that last photo is spectacular!
Could you possibly please whisper in those little guy's ears to fly a little to the norhteast? We seem to have misplaced our gold finches this year...they were here for a moment, then they gone. They usually hang around all year.
Terrific series! We usually only see them flying at high altitude on their way to South America.
Hahaha! Great capture on that last one especially!
Sweet little birds at the feeder.
T, we have a couple of these guys spending the winter with us! They sure like the Thistle seed!
They are beautiful Tex! I enjoy seeing the yellow finches at the feeders, especially when the feeders are all full of them!!
Love the action in the last shot! They are beautiful birds.
Nice action on that last shot. Space Invader...I love that. Saw our first goldfinch last week. Cannot wait to see more.
