Hi Tex, Got a kick out of these photos. One of the developmental milestones for 5 year old children is to be able to stand on one foot for at least 9 seconds. Bet these guys can do it for an hour or more! :-) John
Very thoughtful ducks. Who knew? :-)
A big collection.
Barely any legs between them!
I never tire of all your whistlers!! They're such charmers!
Are you trying to confuse me? I almost panicked that I had forgotten to put the trash out ( Weds is trash day).Beautiful pictures to see at the beginning of this new year!
Lovely pictures of this bird. Happy new year.
Geweldig mooi om met z,on pracht serie het nieuwe jaar te beginnen.
I'm assuming they're reflecting on their lives in 2014 and wondering what 2015 holds in store. :)
Wonder why they usually choose their right leg to tuck under. People have handedness that gives them a left- or right-handed bias. Maybe they do, too, only in their case it would be webbed footedness. :-)
Reflecting Whistling Ducks, cool shots. I love them all. I wonder if they reflect on their past year too. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
It looks like everything's ducky. Are the Oregon fans?
Chillin', pondering life... Seems to be what they do best! Well, except maybe eating:@)
Interesting collection of one-legged Whistlers, LOL! Happy New year to you. Greetings Jo
Great reflections of your favorite ducks!
looks like they were discussing if they wanted to do the rockette line again, then made the decision to do a trio...
Hee hee! You know I LOVE 'em!! Such beautiful images, T. blessings ~ tanna
Lovely reflections! What a life. :)
File this under the 'stupid question dept.'. Do they actually whistle? Why the name?
Ducks seemed to like August available for viewing in the water, as in a mirror. Yours in a new year!

Love them all, but the last one most :)【ツ】Knipsa

That sunshine must feel really good to them. Nice reflections!Lindy
Poor little one legged duckies!
They're obviously up to something. Conspiring about world domination, perhaps?
In the second photo everyone (except for one) is on the right leg and on the other half the left leg. They meant to do that you know.
Those whistlers are so photogenic. Very good series.

Since they are so well cared for at your place they can afford to sit around and reflect on the world.
I wish reflecting was just as easy for us humans. :)
Reflection is good! Bottom shot is too too cute!
They are beautiful! I love last one photo!
Oh my favorites.
Working on their balance!
Great photos, I love these beautiful reflections, awesome!
You have a great way with words and wordplay, T! Wonder if the Whistlers had any great thoughts while reflecting? :-)
I always love the reflections, and these are great. :)xoxo
Maybe if we could reflect as well as they do, we could solve all the world's problems!
What would you do without your friends the whistlers? Great shots, especially the last one with the three and their reflection.

I don't think I can leave as good a reflection as all your whistling ducks, they are great at it and at standing on one leg too. I just wish I could hear the whistling sound. Their bronzy chest feathers really shine in the sun. Cool shots!

"Let's all stand on one foot and think about how nice TWG is for providing us with this great pond!"~
How cool it that, there is only one duck in all the pics standing on two legs.
Whistler time out... Love them all together. Francine.
Oh those Whistlers....too cute. Reminds me of a gab-fest around the water coolers at work :) Happy New Year, Theresa.
I like the triplets!

Dearest Theresa; How cute and adorable your whistlers with one-legged in the reflection photographs♡♡♡ I LOVE the last one very much with the effect which they look like balls :-) Haha, I had sudden chore today, but try as much as I can to visit friends like I wish to do this year.Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Love their matching feet and beaks.
Wow! What great views of your Whistlers! I love the reflections in the water!
They look a bit sleepy. Great shots as always Theresa!
Fun shots, TexWis. I found the first comment here interesting. I wonder at what age a duck first stands on one leg and whether the parents notice the developmental stage :) Liked that little trio shot too!
wow! fantastic shots and reflection.... interesting to see all standing on a foot
Definitely love the reflections.....
That last photo I find a very nice editing:-) I hope this year many beautiful pictures, see pictures of them:-)
I'll just have to run up to West Palm Beach and get a Whistling-Duck fix! Your crowd seems to be growing!
I love how we saw those little ducks grow all this past year... And I'm happy you didn't eat all of them at Chrimas. ^^Happy New Year !
I think I have to find a viedo and listen to their sounds :)
Reflecting on their reflections... so beautiful :D)
Reflecting on the past year, thinking they've found a good place to stay.
