Another GrandBubba Moment

GrandBubba makes sure I get his best side...

Complete with a jump and spin! (He was actually reacting to some Whistling Ducks that were coming too close.)

If he is like our squirrel, he is getting fat on the duck food (or bird seed in our case). Wonder what that sudden jump was all about.

Well, he's showing off for sure! great captures!

A strong action series of this squirrel's feeding. I think squirrels must be able to see backward at oblique angles to continue seeing the person behind.

Debby@Just Breathe said...

He is so darn cute. Your capture him perfectly!

I think all his sides are pretty awesome!

Cute critter

Karen S. said...

Oh yes, the sweet life of Happy Bubba, he is kind of a show off isn't he?! But completely cute! We don't have any Bubba sweethearts around here, I'm thinking because Misty keeps chasing the dickens out of them all! It's really quite humorous, she'd never hurt them, (really) but they don't know that!

Ruth Hiebert said...

I like the jumping shot.

Nancy J said...

These are wonderful, that tail, his wee front legs, do they stay all year or just visit you in the winter, when they know breakfast, lunch, dinner and more is all laid out for them? Superb series.

Squirrels are just too cute. I could sit and watch (and photograph) them for hours. And yes, they spin and twitch lighting fast :D

Very cool! And, isn't it amazing how much some (human) women will pay to get streaks in their hair like that? ;)

You need to put him on a restricted diet!

Love that blur of motion. Love to watch the squirrels when they take a notion to play. They are as much fun as kittens.

KB Bear said...

Those photos are so great that I think that GrandBubba was posing for you. How much does he charge per shutter click?

The Queen Jester said...

You did a great job capturing the texture of all that fur! Love the tail and how he places it on his back ...looks like he's wearing a Mohawk hairdo.

Maggid said...

he looks large, for sure - I'm glad to know he has moves . . sometimes squirrels here seem to go crazy - it's simply how they protect whatever treasure they have - took me a while to get used to it . . Now I'm glad GrandBubba has some ninja stuff going on.

Brian King said...

Holy cow, that is one chunky monkey! Good grief! :-)

Stephen Hayes said...

He does stand out from the other squirrels, doesn't he?
