They were the first ones to my feeders this morning in the wild, drifting snow. I had forgotten to do my duty and fill before the pending storm. Out of the warm house and into the freezing temps early.

I just told Ron, I wish I lived where we had red cardinals. I just love seeing pictures of them.
I do think we need to move. :) Have a lovely day. Oh I will just comment on yesterdays post. I love when you do Bev Doolittle portraits. I am sorry if I have misspelled words, my typing on comments now looks like my font is out of ink. :) Stupid Captcha.

T, what a beauty! I've only ever seen one in real life. That was in Nashville a few years back. The bird was having a battle with the bird in the side mirror of a car. It made quite a mess of the mirror!

This reminds me of how much I miss cardinals. We did see them back in Wisconsin last week, but I still want to entice them to to the NW. Why won't they come? I put sunflower seeds out all the time!

DAPPER for sure . . .
Really is such a perfect red, isn't it!
I have had ten or more male Cardinals flitting around a Hemlock tree in the back yard this afternoon. I have never ever seen so many at once. It warmed to ten degrees and I think they all showed up for some lunch!
I think I managed to get a fine shot of a "momma" . . . too!
