Gem in the Trees

I guess I have a 'thing' about photographing the horses in the trees. This set is Gemilyn mimicking a bit of Bev Doolittle-esque paintings.

Looks like gem likes being a bit alone out in the trees. Solitude is a good thing.

I love the last photo of Gem. It looks like a spirit horse who haunts the forest. Very pretty.
Happy Weekend Theresa.

Inspiring me to walk down the street to where a family boards horses. Love the B&W shot...enjoy your day!

Gail said...

I'll never turn down enjoying your horses. There is still emptiness here.

Debbie said...

she brings so much beauty to the trees. the growth looks thick, i'm surprised she doesn't get scratched....and isn't it odd (probably not to you) but that she has a big pasture and she seems to like these wooded patches just as much!!!!

don said...

The limbs and brush make a good screen for the horse. The horse must enjoy scarping though the limbs.

Now a white horse in this situation becomes very photogenic.

I really like these too. She looks magical, like she could grant you a wish!

I'd say Gem has mastered the look as you have each and every capture. Just seeing her flee through the woods, priceless!

You've captured another 'gem' in the trees. The scene is compelling to me too, Gem. btw White horses always remind me of King Arthur and his Roundtable tales. Why is that I wonder?
