A Few Wood Ducks on the Pond


 Competition among males is always fierce.
 This little lady just stays above it all.

  She lets the boys sort things out on the water below.


 And a few more along the shore.

It seems like in the rest of nature that females don't have to do anything to attract the boys. In humans, they work very hard at it though. Still, I don't expect that they need to and that it's more of a way to stay ahead of other females.

I don't know if I would ever become used to having all these birds around...I would probably not get a thing done anywhere because I would be watching the birds.
