It looks odd to see ducks sitting in the tree. I knew they did that, but their feet just don't seem well adapted to it.

my thoughts

did the pond get full and the late comers choose the rails? or did the rails get full and the late comers got the pond?

are the ducks in the trees from the pond drying out? or are they sitting in the trees waiting for room on pond and rail.
hugs from your favorite silly goose

It's just beyond amazing that you have so many; I'd love to see even one or two. (We saw them in Port Aransas one winter, one mother with her babies, that was all.) Everybody there was thrilled so I don't think they were a regular there.

KB Bear said...

They sure do like sitting in rows, be it on fences or big branches! I was going to say that now I know where the expression "ducks in a row" comes from but then I got worried that it had to do with shooting ducks. I'll have to look that up.

DeniseinVA said...

They sure are and what great photos of them all. Gives us an idea of just how many you get. Amazing! Please send some over this way. I wish we were on their migration flight :)
