This series of photos is definitely something to crow about!Couldn't resist the opportunity, I'd say I'm sorry but I'm really not. =)
I do believe he's giving you the stink-eye in that last pic:@)
because of your photography I have learned how really pretty these birds are that i always thought of as ugly. your close up of their details shows they are not ALL black, in the air and trees they look like black blobs and they are not.
We love our crows in the park as they are such characters. Have a serene and easy Sunday.Best wishes Molly
Great series on the crows. They are fascinating. Have a happy Sunday!
Probably the only "close-ups" I've ever really seen of crows. Their feathers are amazing! We have at least one that "lives" nearby. When I throw out corn for the ducks, I hear him cawing up in the tree. I think he waits til they finish, hoping they leave a kernel or two for him!
Very cool! They are so shiny and pretty! They do look angry, don't they....
They are magnificent birds!
i never really noticed that their feathers look like fish scales!! cool shots of the crows!! :)
Black beauties. Smart too!
they look like Polish ones with strong beaks.I hate them they are so noisy and damage crops here
Yes, crows are beauties and very smart. Great photos of pretty, black birds :)
Love the final shot---at-ti-tude.
Crows ARE fascinating! I love them!My favorite is the last photo!:o)

Yes, they are fascinating! And, so big! Love 'em! blessings ~ tanna
I like the black birds and your pictures of them. Regards.
Very smart, and handsome in their own way, but they are no wood duck, or bunting!
they seem very clever...have a nice sunday :)
Intense black, intense cawing, intense flying and fluttering about...they are intense birds that bid our attention.
Super shots, Tex. We have Crows around here, but they seem to stay out in the country more. Not only are they fascinating, but they're super intelligent as well. (I learned that by watching Discovery Channel.) :)
Crows make good watch dogs.I had one for a pet as a child. Named him Jim Crow. How original is that? He was allowed freedom after he was healed enough to leave. He never left, guarded my ducks and become a wonderful watch "dog".
Yes they are so very cool! Love these shots that show fish scale-like feathers.. I don't think I would have ever noticed that!
All those details ... feathers, eyes, beak ... thank you for sharing! The last one is a hoot. Or a caw.I had a glossy all-black dog and wow could she be hard to photograph.
Excellent shots and well captured detail on the eternal beauties ;)
Great photos, Tex!I agree with you, crows are fascinating.Wishing you and yours a lovely Sunday.
I love Crows, they are definitely interesting to watch.Caw Caw,Francine.

These guys look like they own the place!
Our crows drive Skye crazy! They are always flying overhead along with the hawks. Skye is definitely a sky watcher.
we have lots of Crows here and they are loud. lol I do hate seeing them fight with the hawks because I don't want to see anyone lose...you know? happy Sunday to you!
An extremely intelligent bird, I've always thought.

Those feathers really do look like fish scales. :)xoxo
Great pictures! I love taking close-up pictures of birds and fish and whatever else is hanging around the pond near my house (saw some turtles there once) but I feel silly doing it sometimes, like "what? you've never seen a bird before?" then I see blogs like this and I feel better. So thanks for posting these!Alone With My Thoughts
My great aunt had a pet crow that everyone said was extremely intelligent. I remember seeing it, but I was young and don't remember much about it.
I don't see many of those in town. Maybe they are out there because you feed them? Sleek black feathers.
Your photos are great, they look so intelligent and crafty. They are keeping their eye on you for sure. I have my share of these, I have to be careful not to leave an egg on the grass.
Tough guysALOHA from Honolulu,ComfortSpiral =^..^=
We always had pet crows when I was a kid. My brother would catch a young one and train it to stay home. One in particular would steal the clothespins from lines, letting the laundry drop to the ground. They are VERY smart.
They are smart! The ones here in Florida look the same but sound different. They have an accent I guess.
Crows are easy to dismiss, but they really are an intriguing bird.
Wonderful pictures, beautiful, great beauty in these crows!
Always fascinating! They seem different than other birds, somehow!
Some of their cousins are flying and prancing around here today.
Beautiful colored feathers !
Fascinating and intelligent birds.
They are! One of my all time favorite books, "Eternal on the Water" have corvids as a big part of the story.
I love crows!
Love these guys! The last shot is my favorite!
Very intelligent birds too! Great series!
Oh, I LOVE crows/ravens. I'm not sure what we have here in our desert. They are such fun birds to watch and to listen to! We have a pair in the palm trees across the street. Their antics are hilarious!Cheryl Ann
Crows are my favourite bird. They are so devoted to family. And so intelligent!
I think I've mentioned before that black crows freak me out. I think I've seen one too many horror movies.
Lucky you! I seldom see Crows. They pass overhead but that's it.
I think that crows and ravens are perhaps the smartest birds in the world! Love the photos.
Great photography. Nice capture of the shiny feathers. Thanks for sharing.
I see them quite a bit out here in Arizona!
T, nice ones! I love their intense looks. You know they are just up to no good!
Captivating photos :)
Great series T. I agree, they are fascinating!
yep they are interesting fellows.
I love most birds but not so much of crows coz over here it's associated with death and hygiene .
They're beautiful! I find them fascinating, too. I watched one from my parked car this past week. I tried to get a photo on my phone, but he flew away before I got a picture.
Very intelligent birds and most interesting to watch. Real nice group of pictures!
Dearest Theresa,Yes, the really are fascinating and you did bring out their very best features!Hugs,Mariette
Nice images of the crows!
Great close up pictures of the crow. The smartest birds. I've never been able to get pictures that close of them. They always get suspicious and then fly away to watch me from a distant tree.
You can just see the intelligence in those black eyes. :)
They seem to find the camera quite fascinating, too!
They are fascinating - and very intelligent.
Nice close ups!
I love their shiny black feathers. Great shots Theresa :)
Hi Tex,I am catching up.. I love crows and agree they are fascinating birds. Very intelligent too.I had a friend who had one in her house.. it was free to fly around.. but always sat on top of the telephone.. and if anyone tried to touch the phone other than her, it would nip.. messy things though. but he could talk.I am not sure what is the difference between Raven's and Crow's.. great photos you have taken here of them Tex.wishing you a happy week valxx
"Tis good to live a full life.
Cracking looking birds - crows of all sorts are great to watch.I think the late arrival of WWB last week may have been caused by our clocks changing here at the weekend.Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

Beautiful picture on some great birds. Here I only see them in the air.
