I love these big beautiful birds. I assume birds that preen together stay together.. Great captures. Have a happy day!
The egrets are spectacular! You get a lot of different species by your pond!
Love the feather-on-the-tip-of-me-beak pic. Happy Tuesday!
Ha, that feather!Sure hope your weather is better than mine. The news is saying historic, catastrophic flooding. I haven't even been to bed yet. Shades of "Allison".
The egrets really pop against all that green!
Beautiful. I am honing my skills but think I may need to build a blind so I can hide!
Such elegant guests.

I saw a few of them on my trip to the Cape. Never knew they would land in the trees.
Who could tire of looking at these beautiful creatures?
they are just a hangin out with each other, can you do this? yes, can you do this? i am thinking that is what they were saying

They are quite the handsome pair.
Reminds me of my wife and I after a fight.
The one preening looks like he's eating his feathers in the last photo...lol
Seeing their eyes and beaks close-up is such a treat. Thanks for the morning smiles!I really hope your home isn't in the flooding area ...
Very elegant birds to grace your pond.
They picked a fine branch to preen on. The clarity of the shots is excellent party because they chose such a good place..almost to pose.

Those birds are just so beautiful.
Very beautiful, love their elegant looks. I hope that you and yours are safe from the terribly flooding Theresa~
They look like an old couple, each one doing there own thing together.
Amazing photos, and perfect background. I told Roger the other day, as I watched a dove land on a power line...it is amazing that they can land on something that small. First try. And seeing these long-legged egrets...I feel that same feeling of how can they stand there so easily on one leg? And how easily they do it.
They are very pretty. We have it here too :)
Beautiful! And you even have green leaves! I wonder when we'll have those...

Wonderful group of pictures, these sure are beautiful birds! The expression on the face of the bird in the last picture reminds me of a former customer of mine, a miserable cantankerous older gentleman...
