you seem to always be prepared to take the best of captures. everytime i see egrets perched like that and the way they turn their heads to look around at you it seems as if they're saying....we know something you don't...

They picked a fine branch to preen on. The clarity of the shots is excellent party because they chose such a good place..almost to pose.

Amazing photos, and perfect background. I told Roger the other day, as I watched a dove land on a power line...it is amazing that they can land on something that small. First try. And seeing these long-legged egrets...I feel that same feeling of how can they stand there so easily on one leg? And how easily they do it.
