Gem is looking good and so is that GREEN background! I can't believe all that green and the mowed grass looks so thick. It seems it has been so dry in your bit of the country for several years. I was happy to see all is well where you are, Tex. Love the reflections too! Good Morning!

So pretty! Love the reflections. And the shot from a distance is especially beautiful!

I like the word, gemages! She is so sweet and I love these photos. In one, she looks like she is ignoring you....most dogs always do that when I pick up a camera to take their photo!!!

Hi Theresa, Gem is certainly a GEM!! Love the soft reflections. Your shots are beautiful!
More big rains over night here to the tune of 4.8 inches over night and 7-8" in some areas. Some roads closed, some folks with water waist high in the house. We've been spared and so grateful but our hearts go out to those so affected by the high water. More rain on the way tonight. Prayers needed for Texas!
Have a great weekend and stay safe!!
Hugs, CM

Do you think that GEM knows she's being photographed???
When looking at your awesome pictures I imagine her to be a unicorn!!
Honestly, I'm not into fairies and trolls and the such -- Maybe it was the Rainbow Bright Dolls and her unicorn that laid around the house in the 80's when my daughters were young?
Fun shsots with the reflections!!

She's so pretty. I've been watching mine when they get around the pond. My son has killed 6 snakes in the last week and I worry about the horses sticking their noses down in the water.

I was in the midst of commenting on these photos Friday evening after a long day trip when the power suddenly decided to go on vacation and I've been incredibly busy since. Now where was I?

Oh, yes. I do like the "gemages" term. The name of the salon where I get my hair cut is called New Images Day Spay. I get tickled every time I call or when I'm in the shop and she answers the phone. In her very best twangy high-pitched drawl, it sounds like she says "Nimages Day Spa." It took me a few times to translate. None of us really call her place "New Images." We just think of it as Judy's Beauty Shop!
