Hit or Miss TexWis

Hi, folks.
I'm going to slow down my blogging for a while.
I need to make time for other priorities.
After 5 years of daily blogging, I need to shift the view a bit.
I'll still be around, but less regularly.
I'll keep hosting the link-up for Good Fences on Thursdays but it'll take me longer to visit your posts.
All is well. Just changing up my days a bit. I'm hoping to hit a new groove soon.
In the meantime, I'll be seeing you *round Blogland as I can. :)
Thanks, always.

I did the daily blogging for a few years. I can say it was very freeing to switch to three days a week.

I can understand, I have never been able to do the daily blogging. And we all need time to keep up with our daily lives. Take all the time you need, I will be here when you do a new post. Have a happy day and new week ahead!

Hi Theresa .. don't blame you - and enjoy your new direction. It's good you're still blogging and will settle into a new routine ... I'll enjoy the pictures.

What a great selection here ... love the way you've set them out - cheers Hilary

A beloved groove can become a rut, and need some changing. Enjoy exploring a new way!

Love the squirrel. A squirrel never fails to make me smile.

I will miss your daily posts and visits, but it is always good to take a break. Blogging regularly has a push-pull element to it, but I have found it to be a very satisfying yet tiring activity. I hope that you will periodically let us know how and where your new "groove" is heading and progressing!

Maggie said...

Blogging every day can be exhausting, I tried it a few years back but then life got in the way, as it is wont to do!
So pleased that you won't be gone for good , joining you for Good Fences has put the mojo back into my photography.
Have fun with your new endeavors, see you on Thursday.

HI Tex Always good to realise when one needs a change in life and routines and it is exciting that you will be doing something else you enjoy. I am glad you are continuting with Good Fences at present but Like me, when you do something, you try and do it to the best of your ability and you have certainly done that. I, very much appreciate all the daily visits to my blog and the comments you leave. As you know I do try and do a daily blog and at times it is nearly overwheleming and I am sure someday, I will cut back a bit. My greatest problem is I take TOO many photographs. Anyway, I thank you for letting us know adn I look forward to the posts that you do publish in future.

DJan said...

Everything changes, but it will seem odd that you are not the FIRST comment I find on my posts. I will enjoy seeing you whenever you show up, though. Are you feeling a little squirrelly? :-)

I have no doubt you have thought this thought this through thoroughly and are making the right decision for you at this time.
You have been instrumental in getting me back to blogging and transitioning into retirement. I thank you for that.
And so glad you will continue Good Fences!
P.S. That first sentence is a real tongue twister :).

I loved messymimi's insightful comment about a beloved groove becoming a rut. I haven't been doing this as long as you have, but I've had my own struggles with trying to find a "beloved groove" that doesn't become a rut for me. I'll still be hanging around, waiting for your future posts, whenever they come.

Hi Theresa, I will miss the daily news from you, but changes are good, sometimes necessary. A good while ago I stopped worrying if I didn't post something fairly regularly, as life down here took over in a huge way, and now that we have a date for Hugh's surgery, I might be even more sporadic. Best wishes for any new venture, I am sure the birds and squirrels will still call in for their B&B, lunch and dinner too . Enjoy each day.

I kind of try to blog on Tuesdays and then whenever else I feel like it. I have longer posts but less of them. I didn't want to leave blogland, but it was getting hard to keep up. :) Have a good rest and see you whenever you are around. :)

First, I love the wonderful series following the squirrel's trip along the tree.

Second, it was a shock to check in and realize there was only an "older" post and no "new" post after Thursday's, but I had a feeling even before I read this one that you were changing things up a bit. As many have said, we'll miss the daily posts, but mostly, I'm happy for you. It wasn't so much the posts (though they were great) but the 100's of comments every day that astounded me. I shook my head often and wondered how you did it. Thanks, Theresa, for taking that time to visit and encourage so many of us. I know I speak for all of your loyal followers when I say that we consider you a friend, and as such, we want the very best for you. Have fun at whatever you do and however you do it.
