I've heard of doing the two-step, but the one-step? :-)
They remind me of how i look at exercise class.
Birdbath ballet. Love it!
The whistlers have great balance!
The back view of their heads showing off their "mohawks" is so funny.
In these photos, I notice coloring that I had not noticed before. Love the one with his eyes closed! Seeing them on one leg reminds me of a photo from a friend's wedding. We were all gathered around the bride and the way my camera bag was positioned, it looked like I was standing on one leg! We had a big laugh about that.
So cute! I think they're doing yoga on the bird bath. :-)
That front duck looks like it could fall off on that last picture...such good balance!
The (i)s have it in this post... and those pink feets!
They look like they should tip over.
A 2 whistler chorus line!
Whistler ballet!Have a Beautiful Day!Peace :)
Such acrobats! I love my goofy whistlers. Sleeping on a ledge on one foot, after all, is a form of ballet. :-)
Pairadise is a lot better than the alternative. And they sure know how to hold those leg lifts. I do leg lifts but can't hold them nearly as long as this lovely pair do. ;)
Good morning Tex!They are gorgeous and very lucky!
those last few are awesome shots of these sweet ducks, the lighting is beautiful and brings out their colors. the feet, the feet, I love the feet. when i saw the one pointing his web foot out like doing the hokey pokey i laughed. and my first thought in the first photo wasback to back they faced each other, pulled their swords and shot each other... from my past and SHOULD have been forgotten
I'm calling the SPCA, those birds are forced to stand in the birdbath because your grass is too tall! Also, the one-legged Whistlers remind me of a childrens book I read.
Haha, what a bunch of poseurs!~
"i can stand on one foot. can you?""yes."mexican standoff. ;)
Morning Tex oh yes it looks like Whistler Paradise to me:) Hug B
Oh this is too cute. Love the one foot posing!Hey look what I can do~~ Well I can do that too!!CM
such beautiful toes
looks like they're having a yoga session on the birdbath!
They do have it made, don't they.
I thought photos 2 and 3 were great -- mirror images -- but the birdbath shots are amazing. Talk about yard art! Statuary!I wonder if, after awhile, the two trade sides, and rest their other legs? Beautiful close-ups -- thanks for the morning treat, TexWis.
What a great start for the day -- the Whistlers ballet!! I can hear the music from here!!
I love this, if a Whistler could be a ballerina, you've got them!
Birds and animals put on the best shows of all. No make believe with them.
Good Morning, I wish I could do that one leg thing.Have a great day!
Aha. Synchronised bird bath balancing.
The whistlers must be practicing The Tree yoga pose, ducky style!
They are too funny, looks like they are doing morning exercises.
I like that leg stretch. My cat can do that.
Life is good!
The one leg balances act is amazing to me. These are excellent shots demonstrating the control these ducks have even when dozing.
They are never boring, your Whistlers. I love the balancing act.Hugs,JB
Sometimes the foot needs a good stretch. It still baffles me why they stand on one foot.
Two by two--they shall come--and they did. FunnyMB
The whistlers have great balance. They doing yoga on the bird bath.Best regards, Irma
i like the 2 step and the pointed toes. it looks like they are been practicing for the balance beam competition!!!i'll give them a 9, not all of those toes were pointed!!!
They are as talented as they are cute, standing on one leg and that in unison.
They are so darn cute....give me a low five!!!
I like their mohawks. What no tats. No piercings?
Like ballerinas! :o)
They must have a pretty good balance! They seem more on one foot than two ;))
it's a game. the first one to put there second foot down has tovacate the bird bath!
When they hold their wings above their heads and pirouette, I'm outta here. :)
Such posers! I love their feet and it is interesting to see they have an opposable toe. I wonder if all ducks do or these guys are special and that is why they can perch on fences so easily.
they sure do live the life!
It's amazing to me how fully relaxed and comfortable they can get while balancing on one leg on a birdbath.
I'm entering that pair for the "Knobbly Knees Contest". See you tomorrow Theresa.
you are right they live in the paradise
is that some sort of Whistler one-footed tango?
The Rockettes will be calling to schedule an audition any time now.
Those whistlers I have not seen such colors or even those at my country. Amazing.
They look great duck standing on one leg. Regards
I am laughing at Sandra's comment. She sure has quick liners.I thought they look like they were doing ballet. What balance.Sandra is right. What pink webs. Never seen that.
Funny shots as they are standing. You should call Cirque du Soleil's attention to their brilliant balance :D
Never get old! Ima go stand one one foot for a while!ALOHA from Honolulu, ComfortSpiral =^..^=
Love that one that is napping with the one legged stance
Yeah, I think your whistlers have it pretty nice at your place!
My favorite day, Whistler Wednesday.. They do look like they are practicing ballet. I wish I had their great balance, I am kind of shaky on one leg. Great series, Hope your day is great.
A nice balancing act ! Very nice !
So beautiful! Funny too...
Simon says, "Stand on one foot."Too weary to read all the comments...so hoping this isn't a repeat.
I like the yoga pose on the birdbath.
A whistler's paradise...water food and security.
Adore the ducks. Wish I'd thought of the title the other day ;>))~
Sorry I missed the recital! Thank you for sharing those wonderful photographs! You are the best!!
their leg stretching reminded me of what I haven't been doing. lol but the one leg up is hilarious!! those photos made me LOL! I'll have to check my new handy dandy bird i.d. guide to see why these silly birds stand on one leg. :)
They sure have a good understanding. Just what I need when I get a little off balance.
I love the 1-legged standing photos! Awesome synchronization!
Another fun set of photos! They make standing on one leg look so easy! :-)
I guess they were just lying low in those first shots.
Cute little critters ever . . .Love the one footed, bird bath dance . . .
They are adorable when they stand on one foot like that!
They are so cute! Love the last shot!
My what big pink feet you have!
Where is Whistler's Mother??ha ha or is one or the other? Oh , the mystery is in the mastery of the TOE of course!! I wonder if they make stuffed animal Whistlers...so wonderful to see. Thank you! smiles--merri
That mohawk-like black stripe gives him a bit of a punkish look. Like she's hanging out with her badass boyfriend. :)
Do these Whistlers ever do anything normal? Ha ha!
They are so cute and funny!Very fine photos!
Dearest Theresa; Wow, how can they learn to sleep with one leg, That is the mystery p:-) I might have seen their way of standing this way in your posts. But so sweet to see in the last picture that he looks so comfortable sleeping with his head in the back(*^_^*)Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Love the leg stretch and the one legged snoozing! Guess they are kinda hoggin' the water spot!
I have wondered before if you see any of these with personalities whereby you know an individual, or more. Also do you ever give any of them names. So sweet~
Those 1 foot up poses are adorable!
Amazing, how they can stand on one foot and go to sleep...lol
I love the clarity in your shots Tex, these birds look amazing... funny standing on one foot, but amazing nonetheless!
Dang- almost missed my whistlers this week! LOL- they are so darn cute!
Lovely images as always. Cheers..
They look like little whistler ballerinas in the last pic, how adorable!
