Good Fences #72

How about a few town properties for some fence shots?
A nice backyard.

The front yard of the same place.

Across the street.

Their nice old gate.

Come set a spell on the porch. :)

I'm a sucker for iron fences. That's about the only type of fence that catches my eye these days. I love this spearhead design. My fence today looks like it could be from the same craftsman. Thanks for hosting this popular and fun meme!

Nice fences, and I'd love to 'set a spell' on that great porch! Almost looks like snow on the roof.

Looks a lovely area - I'd like a fence like those around my garden

Neat yard and boundary fences, Theresa. Thanks for hosting this meme. I LOVE it. Greetings Jo

Strong iron fences. We are seeing less and less iron fences around these days.

Very attractive selection of fences! Your neighborhood fences put ours to shame. The Homeowners Association requires ALL fences to be identical. I must travel far and wide to find anything different. Other subdivisions may have different designs, but all the communities are gated and require an invitation from a homeowner to gain access.

I’m not familiar with iron fences but bamboo fences. Now I found they looked so lovely.

Rural fences in Texas...who knew!

I so enjoyed seeing your city views! Each is charming and the tree in your first photo has to be a cousin to one of my son's trees! They lost one of the gigantic limbs to a storm this summer, sad to see it break but it's burning up our bonfires perfectly.

S. J. Qualls said...

I like both of these, but the second one has a certain charm. I'm wondering if it's the camera or the house - that one wall looks twisted. Balloon framing? Oh, if only walls could talk!

Penelope Postcards said...

The gates are great but I do love the porches behind them and the big old trees.

Nice homes and yards indeed. I have to wonder what hit the fence close to the gate that bent a couple of rods and broke off the tips. Had to be more than the newspaper boy on his bicycle.

Looking at the second picture in this post it would appear that fences in this town are the norm rather than the exception. Fences in their many forms certainly add allot of character to a home and property.
