Crazy Bird(s)

  Yes, there were two of these "mini-velociraptors" on the deck.

Rather interesting bird. The only roadrunner I have seen is a cartoon roadrunner and I just love its speed. Beautiful poses of the roadrunner.

A pair of roadrunners no less! I'm not sure I've ever seen two together. A lot of country folks don't like roadrunners because I hear they're known to steal chicken eggs and eggs from other small birds. Does anyone know if that's true?

When we lived near Los Angeles, our house was next to a park near the foothills. In the beginning before the tract was completed we would see road runners and tarantulas, but when all the houses were finished much of the wildlife disappeared, except for the coyotes who came across the road to look for loose pets. - Margy

I was talking to my son last night, who just got off the trail from a 10 day backpacking trip in New Mexico. He was amazed by the sight of a roadrunner, which he'd always associated with cartoons. :-D They are funny birds!

WoW...you have not lost your audience. i forgot to tell you that chuck thought he saw a roadrunner by the property we own. he said it looked very confused and i said yep, that's a road runner....so he says, how do you know that. and i said my friend t, in texas!!!! he says , oh, they live in texas??? hehehehehe
