Holiday Weather

Northeast Texas has had some recent rough weather. A rash of tornadoes came through after Christmas and devastated areas just west of us.
"Red sky in (very early) morning, sailor take warning"

A little inverted process.
Following the tornadoes, came storms, heavy rain, even hail today.
I feel for those who lost homes and lives.
And am grateful to be safe.
Hopefully better days ahead for those affected by these extreme weather patterns.

  And more peaceful nights.

So happy to hear you are ok t!! I watched the news tonight and saw some pictures from the area, showing some of the devistation. Mother Nature can be so cruel. The silver lining are those beautiful clouds and colorful skies. It is amazing how quickly the skies can change!!

Awesome picture of the hail, though it looks like it could cause some serious damage!! Snow tomorrow?? WoW, crazy weather you are having!!

Looks like your pond got filled!

I hope you are still safe...I haven't had the news on but was talking to a sister and she said Texas has had more.

We have had rain all weekend, like someone was pouring it out of a bucket a big part of the time. Creeks are out of banks, roads in low areas are flooding. So that is a mess, too, but nothing like there.

Gail said...

Glad you are safe. Sad there was lot of life.

Hi Tex, I was saddened by the news of those terrible storms. I have a friend who had been a tornado victim when a tornado tore through Lancaster, TX many years ago so I especially know what that is like. I have also been through the Garland area a few times when I lived in Hunt County, TX a long time ago when in school. Glad you are OK and do not live in the affected area. I pray for those who have had loss. Have a super good day tomorrow!
