Hit or Miss TexWis

Hi, folks.
I'm going to slow down my blogging for a while.
I need to make time for other priorities.
After 5 years of daily blogging, I need to shift the view a bit.
I'll still be around, but less regularly.
I'll keep hosting the link-up for Good Fences on Thursdays but it'll take me longer to visit your posts.
All is well. Just changing up my days a bit. I'm hoping to hit a new groove soon.
In the meantime, I'll be seeing you *round Blogland as I can. :)
Thanks, always.

Good Fences #66

Cattle country requires lots of fences. This is definitely one of the better (and more expensive) types - pipe and sucker rod fencing.

Here's the link-up!

1. Link in a post featuring a photo or photos of fences or gates.
2. Link back to Run*A*Round Ranch Report in your post or use the badge code to display the Good Fences button in your post that automatically links back here.
3. If time allows, please visit some of the other participants and comment on their shared posts.

Thank you!

Whistlers on Wednesday 133

Silly perchers from early June.

Wood Duck drive-by. :)

Such big rubbery feet for stick-perching!

You can see the reflections of the two stump-perchers in the water behind this fence-sitter.

Such goofy and adorable ducks!

Skinny Chicken

One of our Greater Roadrunner pals (whom I lovingly refer to as "Skinny Chickens") came by for an early June visit on the deck. Usually they start hanging around the yard and deck in autumn (after breeding season), so this was an early pop-in.

Maybe he/she just needed a short break from the kids. :)

Being BB

Being BB means you hang out with your brother, Baron, a lot (both were adopted from the same country shelter at about the same age, but are not littermates.)
BB and Baron

BB and Baron
Being BB means you sometimes do the varmint stalk, showing a bit of intense Border Collie tendencies mixed with your Rottweiler blood (so we think.)

Go, girl!

Squirrel!
Being BB means you're smart and alert, and at 7 years old, you learned a 'new trick' from older sister Thelma and began crossing your front legs like a proper lady.
Thelma and Baron in the background, BB imitating Thelma.

Louise and BB
Being BB means when mom works out by the barn, you're willing to hang out with her...
but you get bored easily, too.
Being BB means when you go out the front door, you often bark to let the world know you're out there, you stay watchful, you play hard (bowling over Baron time and time again) but when you rest, you rest hard - and snore loudly (there's that Rottweiler stock winning over).
Being BB means you like to sink into an adorable fur-puddle at the feet of your humans in hopes of getting rubs and massages.
One of the reasons she's named BB - she has a double dewclaw on one back leg - sort of a "Bonus Bunion" :)
Being BB means you are loved.
