The Usual Horde

One hundred fifty or so Whistling Ducks are hanging here each day this winter, again. I feed scratch feed in the mornings and a bit again at dusk to help them through cooler temps. They spend the day in between rabble-rousing around the pond and foraging for acorn tidbits and other yummy things in the leaves and grass. Most fly off to a lake a bit south of here each evening, but a small flock stays here overnight - probably the family that was raised here this past summer.

They seem to have adopted you, Theresa! Glad you are feeding them good to get through winter. Is it fairly cold down there during this latest cold spell? We are freezing.
