Good Fences #98

A simple swing gate across the driveway,
but I thought the side wheel design was nice. (Sorry - shooting into some harsh sun.)

I like the wagon wheels too. I wonder if that design was always done for decorative purposes or if originally someone didn't have time to fix a fence and thought that an old discarded wheel would patch it up. I always wonder about the origins of things. I especially like that first shot.

I'm with Tanya and was drawn to the unfinished lane with its grassy median. The tracks could have been made by wagon wheels similar to the fence ones.

The wagon wheels are wonderful! Believe it or not, there's a farm fairly near where I've seen a similar fence. I thought at the time that it looked kind of Texan. lol
