Good Fences #113

On the way to town, new construction equals new fence and gate...
(I opened the link a little early today to accommodate my own messed-up schedule.) Here's the link-up.

1. Link in a post featuring a photo or photos of fences or gates.
2. Link back to Run*A*Round Ranch Report in your post or use the badge code to display the Good Fences button in your post that automatically links back here.
3. If time allows, please visit some of the other participants and comment on their shared posts.

Thank you!

Hello Tex, it is a pretty place. With the dark roof, my preference would be all light colored stones. Add some landscaping around the house and it will be lovely. I hope they put a name, cutouts or stars over the entrance. Thanks so much for hosting. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!

Interesting new build and stonework for the house. The fence and gateway are fairly clean cut and I wonder if they will add to them, to coordinate somehow with the style of house.
Thanks for hosting!

Hi Tex, Modern look and new construction, perfect mix! Neat photo. Thanks for sharing and for hosting!

Looks ready for me to move into my new "ranchette." I will add all of Eileen's enhancements... dream on! As for reality, our central air conditioning broke down, someone in China is trying to hijack my "rosyfinch" domain name, my computer is acting up, and my credit card got hacked -- all at once. (Now back to dreamland!)

Love the entrance! Nice colors on the house, too!

The gate and the house give a pleasant view.

Hello Theresa!:)

It takes time to add character to a property, but with landscaping and pretty flowering bushes it will look nice.I can imagine trees near the house, and even bushes along the fence. At this stage it's lacking something to tie the gate and fence in with the style of this new build. I hope you will pass by there again some time, and share what else has been done.

A simple, yet elegant, fence and gate!

While visiting Texas in March (our daughter and SIL are moving back to Wisconsin!! So there's still hope for you too TexWIS. LOL) ANYway I saw so many roofs like that and such small windows. I wondered if it had everything to do with trying to keep the heat to a minimum in the summertime. I always like those entrance fence/gates.

Looks like an interesting constructed house Tex. Many thanks for hosting. Have a good weekend.

This is an interesting house. It needs some landscaping or something!

Certainly good to see the new construction and the initial stages of the fence/gate structure. Nice find and snap!

i like it, it reminds me of ireland??!! i think they messed up a lil with their color palette but it's still a pretty place and unusual for texas, i would think!!! i wouldn't mind getting a look inside, could you arrange that for me??

A very un-Texas-like house. It does have its own particular charm to it.

messymimi said...

Sensible and sturdy and plain, at least the fence is, i guess that way it doesn't detract from the house.

That is a great fence! Nice looking house too.

Your area seems to provide you with something interesting each week. This a lovely home. Too big a place for me tho.

Inger said...

NIce place and I'm now wondering if you'll eve run out of fences. I know Texas is big, but still?

Barb said...

What an unusual roof framed by that fence.

Red said...

The gate's a lot nicer than the house! Just my opinion.

sonia a. mascaro said...

I like the architecture and the roof of the house. I think that the roof looks like a bit South Africa's architecture...

Nancy J said...

And in a year or so, with plants, trees, and some paving, this will be a place to revisit lots. Lovely old style, and the fence fits in with that so well.

jeannettestgermain said...

A rather simple fence when one sees the beautiful (and looks like newer(?)house:)

~Kim at Golden Pines~ said...

Interesting - The fence needs a good sign, and the house I think, needs something... :-)

Joseph Jameson-Gould said...

That curvy, white wall thing is so weird. It's like the only thing that isn't at a 90 degree angle!

Ida said...

Nice looking entryway and fence and quite a fancy house that is being built there as well.

That's such a cute little house!! Reminds me of Ireland a little bit.

I like the fence, but the combination of that stonework doesn't work for me. Either one of them alone would be more to my liking, or even a different design of them together.

Hello Teresa. Thanks for the link-up today. That's a smart looking house. Must have cost a good few dollars?

Good morning Theresa, What a beautiful house!! I know this is a dumb question, but as much as I love these fences.. why does everyone have one?? Not just the fence but all those beautiful gates?

Karen S. said...

I really like the design of this house and that they didn't make the garage so evident, and they left a lot of greenery and trees on the property. Pretty place.

Real nice looking new place, gate and fence!

Interesting that it would have a black roof, I've seen a number of new black roofs over here on the Coast too. Must be a reason for it but wouldn't that make for a smoking hot attic in the Summer?

this place looks like a palace . . .
sending love . . Oh no, wait!!! this has nothing to do with fences - BUT, i was out, trying to make friends with a new to me camera - i found a quiet park and focused on a lake - suddenly a LARGE bird unraveled itself from the small tree i was standing near and flew a little way to a taller tree . . . I don't know, yet if i managed any photo pf it at all - i think we stunned each other - and, i think it was a heron of some kind . . . nothing like your marvelous bird adventures - BUT, i thought of you immediately. love & love to you, -g-
