My World At My Feet

During a bad thunderstorm they come to Mom.
Greeting the day while Mom has coffee on the porch.
I got up to take a photo of my Lantana blooms...
but my pups made a much prettier picture.
My guardians. My pack. My babies.

What great photos!! There is something so peaceful and comforting about them -- And they of course think the same about you when a storm has them a little nervous!

Pretty pups and pretty blooms.

You look well protected...sort of. They look too friendly for guard dogs.

Pets are such an important part of our lives. As I am reading this post, lookinga at yours...mine is sleeping and snoring away on the loveseat.

They look like strong, healthy dogs! Our (13-year-old) puppy Ginger has always been afraid of thunderstorms as well. She'll face any creature without hesitation, but the storms leave her whimpering. We love her much--sad to see her getting old!

Bethany Carson said...

(On the other hand, as they say, getting old is much better than the alternative!)

Sweet dogs! The brown one reminds me of my buddy Flash.

Thunderstorms are so frightening, and I imagine still more in your part of the world where the sky must be so spacious. I like to see such lovely guardians, friends, and babies of yours relaxing themselves in and out the house. Also I like the pics in the header which were changed during my summer break.

Morning Tex. What a beautiful loving world and family you have. Hug B

Hello Tex, the thunder can be scary for the dogs. My old golden named Daisy was scared to death of the thunder she would go and hide in the closet behind the clothes. It is so cute to see them all laying around you, they do look like your guard dogs. It is great to see them all again, it has been awhile. Love the lantana. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

It seems that you are the object of their complete devotion. What a feeling, eh?

Donna OShaughnessy said...

Our great pyrenees is terrified of storms but would kill an entire pack of coyotes to protect just one of our ducks! While our German Shepherd mix lies outside in the worst weather oblivious to it all but runs from the ducks. Personalities not unlike my husband and I.

Love your pack!
