Skinny Chicken

Yes, the Skinny Chickens (aka Greater Roadrunners) are still around. Here's a goofy one peeking into the sliding glass doors from the deck.
I approached with my cell phone, expecting him to bolt.

Instead, he stayed and gawked around.

Such a fine tail.

A bit of preening for the camera.

One more fluff.

Then back to gawking.

Goofy bird.
Yes, all these were shot with my cell phone. A quick video of him primping...

And if you thought he didn't know I was on the other side of the glass, here's a bit to show you he saw me.

Hello Theresa! LOL, as soon as I saw your title I knew it was your Roadrunner friend. Or should I say the Peeping Tom Roadrunner. Awesome series of photos, the closeups of the eyes and beak are amazing. Thank you for linking up and sharing your critters. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

When we lived in Southern California near a park we had road runners and tarantulas in our back yard. It was so surprising in the suburbs. We also had coyotes who raided our pets, not so nice. - Margy

Funny, I recently colored my hair with henna and now my hair took on a weird shape and my daughter says I look like Roadrunner. It reminds me of the cartoon, I loved watching it when I was a child.
