Announcement

This next week's Good Fences link-in will be my last. I've wanted to take a blog break for a while now, but I've hung in there to keep Good Fences going. I am hopeful someone will want to take over a Fence Photo link-in. If so, leave me a comment and I'll be happy to share your blog address here so folks can find you in the future.

I've been blogging for over 6 1/2 years. Time to step back and let my on-line presence fade. Blogging has been my only social media, and I've met some of the kindest, warmest souls here. You share your talents, humor, opinions, skills, beauty, stories, joys, sorrows and hearts. It has been a true pleasure sharing your Blogland neighborhood.

I'll see you on Thursday, and then I'll just say, "See you A*Round." -TexWisGirl

I will miss stopping by to visit you and your blog- I hope you will post occasionally about the dogs and horses and silly, goofy ducks and your fat squirrels.
I do realize, this year more than ever, how short life is. How quickly things change, and mostly, how important it is to make our own selves as happy as we can.
I'm glad I got to "know" you through your photos and stories, and I wish you all the best.

Hi Tex Firstly I am glad you posted that beautiful photograph of yourself, You have been a wonderful blogger and I remember writing to you to tell you that I did not think we had many fences in Ireland but a lot of walls and you said that would be wonderful. Since then, my eyes sees fences (even my 'out of the box' ones) everyway. You have opened my eyes to being able to see many more things around us. I am not surpurised you are having this break, I knew it was coming when the ducks went. I so loved seeing your wonderful goofy ducks as well as your horses and your beautiful dogs. I will miss all that and YOU on blogland. As you may have seen I have not been able to comment as much recently myself athough still post everyday. Many times you generously linked me in to your meme. So thnaks. I am sure you are doing the right thing and I wish you all the best in everything you do in the future.

Oh boy, as you see by the outpouring of comments - Theresa, you will be missed by many! Including me - your fellow Wisconsinite. Who else on here is going to understand where the cheese factory on Hwy 10 near Marshfield is? When I started on here, you were one of my first followers. You have been one of if not the most encouraging, uplifting, supportive blogger I know. So many blogs I look at and comment on...there is TexWis leaving a nice comment. That was very nice, especially for me who hardly receives any comments. I surly hope you check in with us every once in a while! Blessings to you and all of yours at the Run A Round Ranch from Ringle, Wisconsin.

Dearest Theresa,
Well this is so understandable and I myself have slowed down on it as well. There are still some other issues I have to take care of and if time is on hand, I like to write more about our travels. But that fulfills more the question I've had from so many people for writing a book. Reliving those stories and writing about them is kind of sweet for ourselves too. So I will see where we get.
Sending you hugs and wishing you the very best for the future!
Always enjoyed your postings and hope you, your loved one and your fur babies will be fine.

Although I didn't link in every week, I must say that I have never looked at fences like I do since I first found your blog and Good Fences. Your beautiful photos of your lovely farm animals and other wildlife has truly been inspirational. I am so glad that I have that lovely butterfly painting that I won to remind me of your kindness and how much you certainly sacrificed to bring us Good Fences every week. I will truly miss you! God bless you in whatever is on the horizon for you!♥

I read on Sandra's post you were retiring. I followed you a lot of years and vice versa. I had to stop blogging - I was spending most the day on the computer. I just couldn't keep up - I think I did it for ten years. I hope it is not health related and that you are going out and looking forward to new and better things. Sandie

Hi Theresa, I was just organising myself to get back into my blog when I was having a little browse and saw your final message.
All the best to you and many thanks for your warmth and friendship during our mutual blogging time.
Life needs attention from various directions doesn't it and time keeps rolling on waiting for no one. May all that you wish for come about. Cheerio and the kindest of good wishes to you. Sue :D) xx

Excuse me for this late comment. Your six and a half years blogging is admirable. I enjoyed your natural world of dogs, horses, and birds, and last but not least fences, and really appreciate your kind comment. It was so natural for me to think you were there, I’m going to miss you. Wish you healthy and happy break.

Oh my goodness, you know I'm still catching myself thinking, wow, there's a great fence for my post, and oops not necessary. You must know we miss seeing you around, but I totally understand, life and work and life again just gets so busy and it's hard to keep up sometimes, I know and I do Facebook as well! But hopefully you'll pop in and say hello or post a photo or two after the new year. I miss you and take good care of you. See you when we see you.

You will be missed, terribly. I understand, as with my own blog does take up so much time, and while I may not have always commented as often here, I came without fail to every new post. From a couple of fellow Texans, be well, be happy, and even if not regularly blogging, come back on occasion and give us an update.

Hugs, 1st Mand and 2nd Man

Whats the big idea, Tex? I mean I just finally come back and you are leaving. Who do I get to politely answer all my dumb questions?

I just want you to be very happy and check in with me once a week or so!

Love and hugsk

Happy trails! Hopefully you will come back around this way again but I certainly understand the need to step back. Happy New Year to you and yours and I hope it brings peace and happiness to you.

Now I'll have to find someone else to pick on! :~)

Oh man, just when I'm finally getting back to blogging again I'm finding some of the blogs I've read have stopped. I've enjoyed seeing your photos but I totally understand. If you EVER find yourself back in Wisconsin, please look me up. Take care!! You will definitely be missed.

Hi Theresa, I truly understand your decision. Even though I don't visit my favorite blogs often, it was always a pleasure to see what you were up to on your ranch. Enjoy your free time and your life! Take care. Maura

Aw, Tex.. just saw Eileen's "Whistler" post and thought of you immediately. I thought of you so often in those months when i couldn't seem to muster any blog enthusiasm. Miss you even more now that I'm blogging again. Totally understand your decision and appreciate the considerate way you gave your readers fair warning. Such a lovely photo of you. Stay well. Thank you for the support you gave for so long to so many of us. I won't forget you!
