Good Fences #114

I took these photos last fall of this sturdy ranch entrance. I passed it again recently, and they still hadn't hung a ranch name on the overhead bar.
They do keep a bison herd in their pasture.

Good Fences #112

I don't think it's too late to share these... On an early March morning, Zim and Gem walked around the pond path to head up to the front hay pasture.

Sometimes the best fence views are your own...

The Run*A*Round Whistlers

I can't keep up with posting, visiting and commenting, but I figured you'd probably appreciate a dose of Whistling Ducks. Yes, there's a small crew still hanging around for summer.

One morning as the mist rose off the pond, a pair of Whistlers waited for scratch feed.

While I scattered it, they flew to the pond until I departed.

On an afternoon, a string of Whistlers sat along the fence.

The fence that goes into the pond and the old downed tree that rests against it are always favorite seating.

Oopsie! Laid an egg in the pond waters.

A bright and shiny place on the way to town.
